Murat Turan is a 23 year-old artist whose work has appeared in numerous books and magazines. He has been drawing since he was six years-old and last year, he completed an undergraduate degree in Arts at the University of Inonu in Malatya, Turkey.
His style involves elements of the fantastic, sci-fi, surrealism and minimalism. He prefers dramatic composition and creating unusual atmospheres with themes that emphasize human feelings. Although versed in working in many different materials, he has been working in digital art for the last three years. His preferred tools are Photoshop, Corel Painter and his Wacom Graphire Tablet.
Murat currently works as a freelance artist, but will soon embark on a new career as a teacher.

The covers for this magazine are terrific and make those for Asimov's and F&SF look dull in comparision.
This one reminds me of the cover for Queen's News of the World.
I see a lot of this type of "Big robot small child or object" theme. It's good but I would like to see less of it since there is so much. But this one I really like.
