ABOUT THE ARTIST
My name is Ertaç Altınöz and I'm 29 years old. I graduated Izmir Anatolian Fine Arts High School and was very interested in illustration during those years. I went to college in Istanbul and received my Masters in Cinema and Television. I am still interested in cinema, 3D, short animated films and animation but I think finally I found my ideal profession by returning to illustrations. I'm currently working as a freelance artist.

Absolutely astounding! The cover art of Clarkesworld is amazing, and this piece definitely belongs in that category as well! Incredible! I hope to see more from this artist in the future! The detail is astounding...every time I look at it, I see a few more things I missed the first time. I love it! Great, great job!

I'm not usually into commenting on cover art - I think I'd been put off by paperback covers that bore no relation to the story (aah, remember those days..?). But this is different.
To me it looks like a perfect symbiosis of flesh and metal, where neither jars against the other - and that's a difficult feat to achieve. Truly alien, yet truly realistic. Well done Ertac, I am so impressed, it would make me want to buy the book.
PS Can we possibly have another please, this time of man and machine? I'd love to see that.
