ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Jay Lake lives in Portland, Oregon, where he works on numerous writing and editing projects. Nice reading. That other language sounded beautiful. The Character voices were also well done.
As for the story--Mr. Lake fully realized the cold, post "mistake" world. It was cold and sad and tired. There's something appealing to those visions, as they seem most likely to come true (IMO).
The pace was a little slow at the start, a lot of technical names were thrown around. But Mr. Lake brings the world life quickly and keeps it burning bright until the very last line.
That royal blood line was frightening...I believe they were the "Imperium Humana". Yikes. Also, there was the ever present, but never explained, "mistake". That was awesome. That inspired a few vivid images of scientific horror.
Thanks again for the story and the reading. I enjoyed listening to it.
