ABOUT THE AUTHOR

N. K. Jemisin has sold short stories to Strange Horizons, Postscripts, Baen's Universe, and other markets. Her first novel, The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, was selected as one of the top ten SF books of 2010 and her second book in the Inheritance Trilogy, The Broken Kingdoms, was recently published by Orbit. Her 2009 Clarkesworld story, "Non-Zero Probabilities", was nominated for the Nebula and Hugo Awards. She's lived in New Orleans, New York, Boston, and Mobile (Alabama), and has only written stories about the first two cities so far.
