After leaving Armenia in 1998, he continued his studies at the Atanian Art Center in California. He received his BFA in Traditional Illustration from the Academy of Art University (San Francisco) in 2008.

His current work is a blend of realism, surrealism, and fantasy. In the future, his career plans include working with a variety professional art directors across the field: cinema, video games, editorial, and advertisement.

His work has been displayed in the following art shows: Society of Illustrators in New York, Spring Show in San Francisco, Armenian Art Association, Music Center, and Atanian Art Center’s Annual Exhibitions.

“I believe that in order to create, one must understand the surrounding environment. I enjoy painting people from life. My favorite mediums are acrylic, pen & ink, and charcoal.”
